করণ জোহরের 'অ্যায় দিল হ্যায় মুশকিল' ছবিটিও বেশ বিতর্কিত হয়েছিল এর কাহিনীর জন্য। ছবির অন্যতম গুরুত্বপূর্ণ চরিত্রে অভিনয় করেন পাকিস্তানি অভিনেতা ফাওয়াদ খান। তার জন্য ছবিটির মুক্তিই পিছিয়ে যায়। ভারতের উগ্রবাদী গোষ্ঠী পাকিস্তানি অভিনেতা বলিউডে কাজ করায় ক্ষুব্ধ হয়ে রাস্তায় নামে। পরে সম্পাদনার সময় ছবিতে ফাওয়াদের অংশটুকু কেটে ছোট করা হয়। করণ জোহর জনসমক্ষেও ক্ষমাও চান।

ইরফান খান ও শাহরুখ খানের 'বিল্লু বারবার' (বিল্লু নাপিত) ছবিটি নিয়েও বিতর্কিত হয়। ছবিটিতে নাপিতের চরিত্রে অভিনয় করেন ইরফান। ছবিটির বিরুদ্ধে আন্দোলনে নামেন মুম্বাইয়ের সত্যিকারের নাপিতরা। যদিও বিতর্কিত কিছুই ছিল না ছবিতে। ছবিটি প্রযোজনাও করেন শাহরুখ। তিনি পরে ছবির পোস্টারে নাপিত শব্দটি ঢেকে দিতে রাজিও হন!

'ব্ল্যাক ফ্রাইডে' ছবিটি ২০০৪ সালে তৈরি হলেও মুক্তি পায় ২০০৭ সালে। ১৯৯৩ সালে মুম্বাই হামলায় ২৫৭ প্রাণহানির ঘটনা নিয়ে ছবিটি তৈরি হয়। ছবিটি নিয়ে ঝামেলা আদালত পর্যন্তও গড়িয়েছিল।

ছবি বানিয়ে ঝামেলায় পড়া বানশালির জন্য ডালভাত হয়ে গেছে। 'বাজিরাও মাস্তানি', 'রাম-লীলা'- ছবি দুটির জন্যও নানা ঝামেলা পোহাতে হয় তাকে। 'পদ্মাবত' ছবির মতো এ দুটি ছবিতেও দীপিকা পাড়ুকোন ও রণবীর সিং অভিনয় করেন। 'রাম-লীলা' ছবিটির নামও পরিবর্তন করতে হয় বানশালিকে। ছবির নাম রাখেন 'গোলিও কী রাসলীলা রাম-লীলা'। 'বাজিরাও মাস্তানি' ছবির একটি গানে বাজিরাওয়ের দুই স্ত্রীর নাচ নিয়েও ঝামেলা হয়েছিল। গানটি পরে বাদ দেয়ার দাবিও তোলা হয়। কিন্তু মূল ছবিতে গানটি ছিল।
