২০০৭ সালে মিস বাংলাদেশ নির্বাচিত হন পিয়া। মূলত এরই মাধ্যমে মিডিয়ায় বিচরণ শুরু পিয়ার। ১৯ দেশের প্রতিযোগীকে হারিয়ে ২০১৩ সালে 'মিস ইন্ডিয়ান প্রিন্সেস ইন্টারন্যাশনাল' নির্বাচিত হন খুলনার মেয়ে পিয়া। রেদওয়ান রনির হাত ধরে ২০১২ সালে চলচ্চিত্রে অভিষেক ঘটে তার। জাতীয় পুরস্কার পাওয়া 'চোরাবালি', 'দ্যা স্টোরি অব সামারা', 'গ্যাংস্টার রির্টান'সহ বেশ কয়েকটি ছবিতে অভিনয় করেছেন। প্রথম বাংলাদেশি মডেল হিসেবে জনপ্রিয় ফ্যাশন ও লাইফস্টাইল সাময়িকী 'ভোগ'-এর প্রচ্ছদেও দেখা গেছে পিয়াকে।

পিয়া ছোটবেলা থেকে স্বপ্ন দেখতেন আইনজীবী হওয়ার। এরইমধ্যে লন্ডন কলেজ অব লিগ্যাল স্ট্যাডিস (এলসিএলএস) থেকে গ্রাজুয়েট সম্পন্ন করেছেন পিয়া। মডেলিং ও অভিনয়ের পাশাপাশি আইন পেশাতে ব্যস্ত সময় পার করছেন।
