কয়েকটি দেশের তরুণ-তরুণীদের অনিরাপদ যৌন সম্পর্কে জড়িয়ে পড়ার মাত্রা বেড়ে যাওয়ায় ওই সব দেশে যৌন-শিক্ষার মান নিয়েও প্রশ্ন উঠেছে। ইউরোপে গবেষণায় অংশ নেওয়া তরুণ-তরুণীদের অর্ধেক বলেছে, তারা স্কুল থেকে যৌন বিষয়ে শিক্ষা পেয়েছে।
