American women cinematographer Rachel Morrison broke a new record in the Motion Picture Academy. In the last 90 years of the Oscars, no woman has won nomination for the best cinematographer award, the nomination was not received.
Exceptions to the 90th Oscars nomination list announced on Tuesday Rachel Morrison has been nominated for the category 'Madbund' for the first woman.

গত ডিসেম্বরে নিউ ইয়র্ক, শিকাগো ও নর্থ ক্যারোলিনায় চলচ্চিত্র সমালোচকদের কাছ থেকে নিজের কাজের স্বীকৃতি পেয়েছেন রাচেল মরিসন। কিন্তু চলচ্চিত্রের সর্বোচ্চ আসরে মনোনয়ন পাওয়া তো আরও বিশাল ব্যাপার। এতে খুশি 'মাডবাউন্ড' ছবির পরিচালক ডি রিসও, 'আমি আনন্দিত যে মানুষ তার কাজের স্বীকৃতি দিয়েছে।'
মুক্তির অপেক্ষায় থাকা মার্বেল সিরিজের 'ব্ল্যাক প্যানথার' ছবিতেও সিনেমাটোগ্রাফার হিসেবে কাজ করেছেন র্যাচেল মরিসন। ছবিটি মুক্তি পাবে আগামী মাসে।
