Singapore launches electric car service to get rid of traffic jams Blue SG, an associate organization of France's Bolorore Group, has undertaken the project in Singapore with 80 cars and 32 charging stations.

These stations will also work as drop-offs and pick-up points. In the coming years, a plan to expand this service to 10 times has been planned. The project in the electric vehicle has been started with partnership with the government and the company expects that Singapore will be the second largest electric car-sharing service in the world after Singapore.

It is to be noted that traffic jams in Singapore have reached unbearable conditions due to the excessive private carriage. There are also adverse effects on the environment. And as part of the continuous process of fighting against these, electric car-sharing services have started in the country.

Authorities have taken some tough steps to reduce the number of private cars already in the busy commercial city of about 56 lakh inhabitants. Of these, there is a high license fee, which took the average price of each vehicle to 80 thousand US dollars. Apart from this, other initiatives include fixing the amount of vehicles on the street and new massive investment in public transport.

এ স্টেশনগুলো ড্রপ-অফ আর পিক-আপ পয়েন্ট হিসেবেও কাজ করবে। আসছে বছরগুলোয় এ সেবার বিস্তৃতি ১০ গুণ করার পরিকল্পনা গ্রহণ করা হয়েছে। বৈদ্যুতিক গাড়ির এ প্রকল্প সরকারের সঙ্গে অংশীদারিত্বের মাধ্যমে চালু করা হয়েছে এবং কোম্পানিটি আশা করছে, প্যারিসের পর সিঙ্গাপুরে বিশ্বের দ্বিতীয় বৃহত্তম বৈদ্যুতিক কার-শেয়ারিং সেবা দেয়া হবে।

উল্লেখ্য, অতিরিক্ত সংখ্যক ব্যক্তিগত গাড়ির কারণে সিঙ্গাপুরে ট্রাফিক জ্যাম অসহনীয় অবস্থায় পৌঁছেছে। এছাড়া রয়েছে পরিবেশের ওপর বিরূপ প্রভাব। আর এসবের বিরুদ্ধে লড়াই করার অব্যাহত প্রক্রিয়ার অংশ হিসেবে দেশটিতে বৈদ্যুতিক কার-শেয়ারিং সেবা শুরু হয়েছে।

প্রায় ৫৬ লাখ অধিবাসীর ব্যস্ত বাণিজ্যিক শহরটিতে এরই মধ্যে ব্যক্তিগত গাড়ির সংখ্যা হ্রাস করার লক্ষ্যে কর্তৃপক্ষ বেশ কঠিন কিছু পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করেছে। এসবের মধ্যে আছে উচ্চ লাইসেন্স ফি, যা প্রতিটি গাড়ির গড় মূল্য ৮০ হাজার মার্কিন ডলারে নিয়ে গেছে। এছাড়া অন্যান্য উদ্যোগের মধ্যে আছে রাস্তায় গাড়ির পরিমাণ নির্দিষ্ট করা এবং গণপরিবহনে নতুন করে ব্যাপক বিনিয়োগ।
