এই ছবিতে অভিনয় করতে গিয়ে নায়িকা পরীর অভিনয়ের অন্তরের জ্বালা কিছুটা হলেও মিটেছে মন্তব্য করে মালেক আফসারী বলেন, কারণ অনেক শক্তিশালী একটি চরিত্র তাকে দিয়েছি। গল্পে যেভাবে তাকে দেখতে চেয়েছি, সেই কাজটিই সে সেভাবেই করে দেখিয়েছে। আমার মনে হয় এই ছবিটি দেখার পর অনেকেরই মনে হতে পারে পরীকে এর আগে আমরা সঠিকভাবে উপস্থাপন করতে পারিনি। সে এমন একজন শিল্পী, যার জন্য গল্প পরিবর্তন করতে হয় না। যে কোনো গল্পে সে অভিনয় করতে সক্ষম।’
নায়িকা পরী মণি বলেন, ‘আমি চেষ্টা করছি ভালো কাজের সঙ্গে যুক্ত হতে। আসলে একটি ভালো ছবির জন্য ভালো গল্প, নির্ভরযোগ্য নির্মাতা চাই। ‘অন্তরজ্বালা’ ছবিতে আমি তা পেয়েছি। তবে একজন শিল্পী তখনই তৃপ্ত হন, যখন দেশের দর্শক তাঁর ছবিটি পছন্দ করেন। এই ছবিটি যদি দর্শক পছন্দ করেন তা হলেই অন্তরজ্বালা মিটবে। আমি যেমন ভালো ছবিতে কাজ করতে চাই, তেমনি ভালো যে কোনো ছবির পাশে চাই দর্শকদের সহযোগিতা, যাদের জন্য আমরা কাজ করি।’
ছবিতে পরী মণির বিপরীতে অভিনয় করেছেন জায়েদ খান। ‘অন্তর জ্বালা’ ছবির কাহিনী রচনা করেছেন পরিচালক মালেক আফসারী। এ ছাড়া ছবির চিত্রনাট্য ও সংলাপ লিখেছেন তিনি নিজেই। সংগীত পরিচালনা করেছেন এস আই টুটুল। ছবিটি প্রযোজনা করছে জেড কে মুভিজ।
