বর্তমান সময়ের অন্যতম একটি ট্রেন্ড সেলফি তোলা। নানা অঙ্গভঙ্গির মাধ্যমে নিজের ছবি নিজে তুলে (সেলফি) থাকেন অনেকেই। তার পর সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যমগুলোতে সেগুলো আপলোড করে থাকেন।

অনেক সময় দেখা যায় নারী-পুরুষেরা তাদের কোন কোন মুহূর্ত বা অবস্থান জানাতে বিশেষ মুখভঙ্গি করে সেলফি তোলেন। এর কারণ কী? সামাজিক বিদ্রোহ, নাকি সমাজ-সংসারের প্রতি ভেংচি? নাকি এর কোনটিই নয়! কেউ কি বলতে পারেন?

অন্যান্য দেশের সঙ্গে বাংলাদেশেও জনপ্রিয়তার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে বাড়ছে সেলফি তোলার প্রতিযোগিতা। তাই ফেসবুকে সেলফির এই মুখভঙ্গি দেখে অনেকেই হয়তো বিরক্ত। কিন্তু কেউ ব্যাপারটি নিয়ে মাথা ঘামাচ্ছেন না!

এই বিশেষ মুখভঙ্গিটির কেতাবি নাম ‘পাউট’। মেরিয়াম-ওয়েবস্টার ডিকশনারির মতে— ‘to show displeasure by thrusting out the lips’। কিন্তু সেলফি তুলতে কেন এমন মুখভঙ্গি করতে হচ্ছে, সেটি ভাবার বিষয়। কী এমন ডিসপ্লেজার বা অসন্তোষের ঘটনা ঘটল যে, সেলফি তুলতে গেলেই এই মুখভঙ্গি করতে হবে?

শুধু নারীরা নন, কিছু পুরুষও এভাবে সেলফি তুলে আপলোড করেন। অনেকেই জানান, এটা একটা ট্রেন্ড।

কিন্তু ট্রেন্ডেরও তো একটা সৌন্দর্য থাকে। এর সৌন্দর্য কোথায়? নাকি বিকৃত মানসিকতার পরিচয়?
কেউ কেউ এই মুখভঙ্গিকে চুম্বনের মহড়া বলে মনে করেন। কারণ এই ভঙ্গিমায় ঠোঁট পূর্ণরূপে দৃশ্যমান হয়।

আবার অনেকে এই ভঙ্গিমাকে আকর্ষণীয় বলে মনে করেন। তবে মজার ব্যাপার হচ্ছে, এমন মুখভঙ্গি করা সেলফির নারীদের চেয়ে পুরুষরা স্বাভাবিক মুখভঙ্গির নারীদের পছন্দ করেন ৩৩ শতাংশ বেশি।

সব কারণকে ছাপিয়ে গেছে ‘ট্রেন্ড’। বিশেষ করে, টিনএজাররা চেন সিস্টেমে নকল করতে করতে এটাকেই ট্রেন্ড করে তুলেছে। ‘লুকিং হট’ই এখানে বিষয়।
