These scientists are trying to add dein-light to the plant's nanoparticles with special nanoparticles. If this thing is successful, the demand for this tree will increase in the work place. The tree needs less light or street light, as well as increasing the demand. Works like Desk Lamps
MIT Professor Michael Streno said that this tree will give light through energy metabolism. This tree will give enough light to read a book. To build this glowing plant, MIT engineers used an enzyme called Luciferus.

এই বিজ্ঞানীরা গাছের পাতায় বিশেষ ন্যানোপার্টিকলের সাহায্যে ডিন লাইট যুক্ত করার প্রচেষ্টায় রয়েছেন বলে জানা গেছে৷ বিষয়টি সফল হলে কাজের জায়গাতে এই গাছের চাহিদা বাড়বে বলে মনে করা হচ্ছে৷বাড়িতে কম আলোর প্রয়োজনীয়তা হোক বা স্ট্রিট লাইট, শোভা বর্ধনের পাশাপাশি চাহিদাও পূরণ করবে এই গাছ৷ কাজ করবে ডেস্ক ল্যাম্পের মতোও৷
এমআইটি-র অধ্যাপক মাইকেল স্ট্র্যানো জানিয়েছেন, এনার্জি মেটাবলিজম-এর মাধ্যমে আলো দেবে এই গাছ৷ একটি বই পড়ার জন্য যথেষ্ট আলো দেবে এই গাছ৷ এই গ্লোয়িং প্ল্যান্টটি তৈরি করার জন্য এমআইটি ইঞ্জিনিয়াররা লুসিফেরাস নামে একটি এনজাইমকে ব্যবহার করেছে৷
