It has been raining in the Bay of Bengal due to the depression prevailing in the entire country including Dhaka. There was a sudden public transport crisis since yesterday morning. As a result, people of different types of profession, including low income, have been trapped. The people of low income were cackled out of the house demanding livelihood due to rain. Many people have left the umbrella for jobs or business. Guardians are looking for rickshaws in schools on different roads.
Meanwhile, extreme traffic congestion was noticed in different parts of the capital due to rain. After a long wait, even if the vehicle was able to reach the desired vehicle, there was a severe traffic congestion that has forced the office-bearers of people.
On the other hand, the rainy season will continue on Sunday even as the weather office has indicated. Today, according to the forecast of 6 o'clock in the evening, the depression in the West Bay and adjacent areas is moving north-northwest and staying in the same area. It can move further north-north-west by concentrating.
Under the influence of 24 hours in most places of Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong division, there may be light to moderate and heavy rains in many places of Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and places of Rajshahi division. But in the next 24 hours, the rainfall trend may be reduced. Last night, 15 mm rainfall has been recorded in the capital.
বঙ্গোপসাগরে সৃষ্ট নিম্নচাপে গতকাল থেকে রাজধানী ঢাকাসহ সারাদেশেই থেমে থেমে বৃষ্টি হচ্ছে। অগ্রহায়ণে এমন বৃষ্টিতে আজ সকাল থেকে হঠাৎ গণপরিবহন সংকট দেখা দিয়েছে। ফলে বিপাকে পড়েছেন নিম্ন আয়সহ বিভিন্ন শ্রেণি পেশার মানুষ। বৃষ্টির কারণে জীবিকার তাগিদে ঘর থেকে বেরিয়ে নিম্ন আয়ের মানুষগুলো কাকভেজা হয়েছেন। চাকরি বা ব্যবসার কাজে ছাতা মাথায় বের হয়েছেন অনেকেই। বিভিন্ন রাস্তার মোড়ে স্কুলগামী শিশুদের নিয়ে অভিভাবকরা দাঁড়িয়ে রয়েছেন রিকশার খোঁজে।
এদিকে বৃষ্টির কারণে রাজধানীর বিভিন্ন জায়গায় চরম যানজট লক্ষ্য করা গেছে। দীর্ঘ অপেক্ষার পর কাঙ্ক্ষিত যানবাহনে ওঠতে পারলেও তীব্র যানজটে ভোগান্তিতে পরতে হয়েছে অফিসগামী মানুষদের।
অন্যদিকে বৃষ্টির এ ধারা আজ রবিবারও অব্যাহত থাকবে বলে আভাস দিয়েছে আবহাওয়া অধিদফতর। আজ সন্ধ্যা ৬টা পর্যন্ত আবহাওয়া পূর্বাভাসে বলা হয়েছে, পশ্চিম বঙ্গোপসাগর ও তৎসলগ্ন এলাকায় অবস্থানরত নিম্নচাপটি উত্তর-উত্তর-পশ্চিম দিকে অগ্রসর হয়ে একই এলাকায় অবস্থান করছে। এটি আরও ঘনীভূত হয়ে উত্তর-উত্তর-পশ্চিম দিকে অগ্রসর হতে পারে।
এর প্রভাবে আগামী ২৪ ঘণ্টায় খুলনা, বরিশাল ও চট্টগ্রাম বিভাগের অধিকাংশ জায়গায়, ঢাকা, ময়মনসিংহ ও সিলেট বিভাগের অনেক জায়গায় এবং রাজশাহী বিভাগের দু’এক জায়গায় হালকা থেকে মাঝারি ও ভারী বর্ষণ হতে পারে। তবে পরবর্তী ২৪ ঘণ্টায় বৃষ্টিপাতের প্রবণতা হ্রাস পেতে পারে। গতরাত থেকে রাজধানীতে ১৫ মিলিমিটার বৃষ্টিপাত রেকর্ড করা হয়েছে।
