ভারতীয় গণমাধ্যম সূত্রে জানা গেছে, মাইকেল করসেলের শ্রুতি হাসানের প্রেমের সম্পর্ক দীর্ঘ দিনের। । এবার সেই প্রেমের সম্পর্ককে পরিণতি দেয়ার পরিকল্পনা করছেন এই অভিনেত্রী। ইতোমধ্যে শ্রুতি তার বাবা-মায়ের সঙ্গে মাইকেল করসেলের পরিচয় করিয়ে দিয়েছেন। শ্রুতির বাবা-মাও এ বিয়েতে সম্মতি দিয়েছেন।  

সম্প্রতি মাইকেল শ্রুতির পারিবারিক একটি অনুষ্ঠানেও হাজির হয়েছিলেন। শ্রুতির বাবা কমল হাসান শ্রুতি-মাইকেলের ছবিও শেয়ার করেছেন। বিয়ের দিন ধার্য না করলেও খুব শিগগির এ বিষয়ে ঘোষণা দিবেন শ্রুতি।

মাইকেল করসেলের জন্ম লন্ডনে, বেড়েও উঠেছেন সেখানে। তিনি নিজেও একজন অভিনেতা। ২০১২ সাল থেকে অভিনয়ের সঙ্গে যুক্ত তিনি।   ‘ড্রামা সেন্টার লন্ডন’ থেকে তিনি অভিনয়ের প্রশিক্ষণ নিয়েছেন। এছাড়া ব্রায়ান টিমনি অ্যাকটরস স্টুডিও থেকেও অভিনয়ের প্রশিক্ষণ নিয়েছেন মাইকেল। বেশ কয়েকটি সিনেমায় অভিনয়ও করেছেন তিনি। তবে মঞ্চ অভিনেতা হিসেবেই তিনি বেশি পরিচিত।
