ওই ঘনিষ্ঠ সূত্রের দাবি, বিয়ের ব্যাপারে প্রতিজ্ঞাবদ্ধ উদয়।   কিন্তু নার্গিসই কিছুটা কমিট মেন্টফোবিয়ায় ভোগেন। গত দু'বছর ধরে এই সম্পর্ককে সকলের সামনে আনতে চেয়েছেন উদয়, কিন্তু রাজি ছিলেন না নার্গিস।   অনেক সময় তাই সম্পর্ক থেকে পালাতে নিউইয়র্ক চলে যেতেন নার্গিস।   তবে বর্তমানে তিনি মুম্বাই রয়েছেন, এই সম্পর্ককে নাম দেওয়ার জন্য।

সূত্রের খবর, উদয়ের মা প্যাম চোপড়ার সঙ্গেও নার্গিসের সম্পর্ক খুব ভালো।

 জুহুতে চোপড়াদের বাড়িতে মাঝেমধ্যেই থাকেন নার্গিস। এমনকি এক সাক্ষাতকারে নার্গিস উদয়ের উচ্ছ্বসিত প্রশংসা করে বলেন, তাকে জীবনে পাওয়াটা সত্যিই বড় ভাগ্যের।   আপাতত নার্গিস-উদয়ের থেকে অফিসিয়াল ঘোষণা হওয়ার অপেক্ষা।
