সেই সময় বিশালাকার একটি সাপ দেখে তারা ভয় পেয়ে চিৎকার চেঁচামেচি শুরু করে। এ ঘটনার পর ছুটে আসেন এলাকার মানুষজন। পরে তারা ঐ বিশালাকার সাপটিকে আটক করে বনদফতরে খবর দেন।


স্থানীয় বাসিন্দা ও ঘটনার প্রত্যক্ষদর্শীরা জানান, বিশালাকার ঐ সাপটি দেখেই অজগর বলে অনুমান করেছিলাম। তাই দেরি না করে আমরা বনদফতরে খবর দিই। 
দেশটির বনদফতর সূত্রে জানানো হয়েছে, উদ্ধার হওয়া অজগরটি লম্বায় প্রায় ২০-২৫ ফুট। ওজন আনুমানিক প্রায় বিশ কেজির মতো। প্রাথমিক চিকিৎসার পর অজগরটিকে বিষ্ণুপুরের জঙ্গলে ছেড়ে দেওয়া হবে।
