Cardinal Charles Mong Bo urged the pope Francis of Roman Catholic Church not to pronounce the word "Rohingya" during his visit to Myanmar. He is the Archbishop of Yangon, the largest city in Myanmar.
In the Los Angeles Times report, it has been said that Cardinal Charles Mong Bo told the pope to apologize because of the objection of Aung San Suu Kyi and Myanmar's state adviser Aung San Suu Kyi to pronounce the word Rohingya.
However, Phil Robertson, Asia's Deputy Director of Human Rights Watch, said that the Pope should use the word Rohingya. And that's public from the point of view. Because there is nothing left for Rohingyas in the country except ethnic identity.
Pope Francis is going to Myanmar on a three-day tour on Monday. He will meet with the army chief at Yangon on the Bishop's house. The Pope will meet in the Bishop's residence in Yangon alone with the army chief.
After the President. Pope Francis will come to Bangladesh on a three-day state visit on November 30 at the joint invitation of Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

এ ব্যাপারে লস অ্যাঞ্জেলস টাইমসের প্রতিবেদনে বলা হয়েছে, রোহিঙ্গা শব্দ উচ্চারণে মিয়ানমারের রাষ্ট্রীয় উপদেষ্টা অং সান সু চি ও দেশটির সেনাবাহিনীর আপত্তি থাকায় কার্ডিনাল চার্লস মং বো পোপকে এটি উচ্চারণ করতে মানা করেছেন।
তবে হিউম্যান রাইটস ওয়াচের এশিয়াবিষয়ক উপ-পরিচালক ফিল রবার্টসন বলেছেন, পোপের উচিত হবে রোহিঙ্গা শব্দটি ব্যবহার করা। আর সেটা জনসম্মুখেই। কেননা জাতিগত পরিচয় ছাড়া দেশটিতে রোহিঙ্গাদের আর তেমন কিছুই অবশিষ্ট নেই।
সোমবার তিনদিনের সফরে মিয়ানমার যাচ্ছেন পোপ ফ্রান্সিস। সেখানে ইয়াঙ্গুনে বিশপের বাসভবনে দেশটির সেনাপ্রধানের সঙ্গেও একান্তে সাক্ষাৎ করবেন তিনি। ইয়াঙ্গুনে বিশপের বাসভবনে দেশটির সেনাপ্রধানের সঙ্গে একান্তে সাক্ষাৎ হবে পোপের।
পরে রাষ্ট্রপতি মো. আবদুল হামিদ ও প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার যৌথ আমন্ত্রণে আগামী ৩০ নভেম্বর তিন দিনের রাষ্ট্রীয় সফরে বাংলাদেশ আসবেন পোপ ফ্রান্সিস।
