ভারতের সাবেক অধিনায়ক মহেন্দ্র সিংহ ধোনি সম্পর্কে ধারণাটাকে ভেঙে দিলেন সুরেশ রায়না। দীর্ঘদিন এক দলে খেলেছেন দু’ জন।

সেই কারণেই ধোনিকে খুব ভাল চেনেন রায়না। তাই এই বাঁ হাতি ব্যাটসম্যানই ধোনির ‘মুখোশ’খুলে দিয়েছেন এক টিভি শোয়ে।   
ক্রিকেটভক্তরা জানেন, মহেন্দ্র সিংহ ধোনি শান্ত স্বভাবের ক্রিকেটার। বরফ শীতল তার মাথা। ম্যাচ যত কঠিনই হোক না কেন, ধোনি মেজাজ হারান না। হিমশীতল স্বভাবের জন্য ভক্তরা তাকে ‘ক্যাপ্টেন কুল’ নাম দিয়েছিলেন। কিন্তু ধোনি সম্পর্কে উল্টো সুর গাইলেন রায়না।  

ক্রীড়া সঞ্চালক গৌরব কাপুরের শো ‘ব্রেকফাস্ট উইথ চ্যাম্পিয়ন্স’। সেই অনুষ্ঠানে অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত হয়েছিলেন রায়না।

সেখানেই রায়না বলেছেন, ‘‘ধোনির মুখ দেখে বুঝতেই পারবেন না, ওর মাথায় কী ঘুরপাক খাচ্ছে। টেলিভিশনের পর্দায় ধোনির মন বোঝার উপায় নেই। খেলা চলাকালীন ধোনি প্রতিক্রিয়া দেখায় না। ’’ 
এরপরেই রায়নার সংযোজন, ‘‘কিন্তু ওভার শেষ হতেই বেরিয়ে পড়েন অন্য ধোনি। ওভার শেষ হওয়ার সঙ্গে সঙ্গেই বিজ্ঞাপন দেখানো শুরু হয়ে যায় টিভিতে। তখন দর্শকরা আর ক্রিকেটারদের দেখতে পান না। তখনই শান্ত ধোনি রুদ্র রূপ নেন। যে ক্রিকেটারের উপরে তার রাগ জমেছিল, তার দিকে শীতল দৃষ্টি হেনে কড়া ভাবে বলে ওঠেন, তুই কিন্তু নিজেকে শুধরে নে বলে দিচ্ছি। ’’
