এক প্রত্যক্ষদর্শী বলেছেন, বাঘটাকে দোষ দিয়ে লাভ নেই। খুবই ছোট খাঁচার মধ্যে রাখা হয়েছিল বাঘটিকে। সে হয় তো বিরক্ত হয়ে উঠেছিল। তবে সব মিলিয়ে বিষয়টি খুবই ভয়ঙ্কর।   

জানা গেছে, ঠিক একদিন আগেই বাঘটির খাঁচার দরজা খোলা ছিল।

সম্ভবত সেটা বুঝতে পারেনি বাঘটি। তাই খাঁচার মধ্যেই থেকে যায় সে। সার্কাসের এক কর্মীর নজরে পড়ায় তিনি তড়িঘড়ি দরজা বন্ধ করে দেন তিনি। শেষ পর্যন্ত অবশ্য বাঘটিকে ধরা সম্ভব হয়েছে। সার্কাস আপাতত বন্ধ রাখা হয়েছে।
