সানির স্বামী ড্যানিয়েলের কথায়, ‘‘আমাদের বোঝা উচিত পশু-পাখিরা না থাকলে এ পৃথিবীতে আমাদের কোনও অস্তিত্ব থাকবে না। ’’

‘পেটা’র সঙ্গে গত দু’বছর ধরে যুক্ত রয়েছেন সানি। পশু-পাখিদের প্রতি ভালবাসাই তার এই উদ্যোগের কারণ। এই সংস্থার সঙ্গে যুক্ত রয়েছেন শহিদ কাপুর, আলিয়া ভাটের মতো বলিউডি তারকারাও।
