ইনস্টাগ্রামে সেই ছবি পোস্ট করার পর ঝড়ের গতিতে লাইক যেমন আসতে থাকে তেমনই আসতে থাকে কমেন্ট।

ফ্যানেরা বারবার প্রশ্ন করতে থাকেন, কেন এত ছোট পোশাক পরেছেন মালাইকা?‌ একজন লেখেন, ‘‌মালাইকা যখনই তুমি ইনস্টাগ্রামে ছবি পোস্ট কর, তখনই তোমার হাতে দেখা যায় মদের গ্লাস। আর তোমার শরীরে তো পোশাক প্রায় থাকেই না। ’‌ 
যদিও ফ্যানেদের সমালোচনার জবাব দিয়ে কিছু লেখেননি মালাইকা। বরং চুপ থেকেছেন। বলিউডে স্পাইসি গার্ল হিসেবেই পরিচিত মালাইকা। একের পর এক ছবিতে তাঁর আইটেম নম্বর আলাদা করে ঝড় তুলেছে সাধারণ দর্শকের বুকে। এছাড়া, একাধিক রিয়েলিটি শোয়ে তার উল্লেখযোগ্য উপস্থিতি ও পোষাকও আলাদা করে উত্তাপ বাড়িয়েছে একাধিকবার। কিন্তু এমন কোনও প্রশ্ন এর আগে তাকে শুনতে হয়েছে কি না, সেটা খুঁজে দেখতে হবে।
