গত পাঁচ বছর ধরে পরিবারের আপত্তি উপেক্ষা করে সম্পর্ক টিকিয়ে রেখেছিল এক কিশোরী। আর বয়স ১৮ না হতেই পালিয়ে যান ভালবাসার মানুষের সঙ্গে। দু’জনে বিয়ে করেন। তবে সে বিয়ে পূর্ণতা পায়নি। কারণ বিয়ের পর থেকেই ওই নববধূকে হুমকি দিতে শুরু করেন পরিবারের লোকেরা।
অভিযোগ, তাকে তুলে নিয়ে যাওয়ার পাশাপাশি স্বামীকে মেরে ফেলার ভয়ও দেখানো হয়।
আর তাই আতঙ্কে ফুলশয্যার দিনটি বাড়ির বদলে থানাতেই কাটালেন ওই নবদম্পতি। নিরাপত্তার দাবিতে পুলিশের দ্বারস্থ হন তারা।

দেবাদৃতার অভিযোগ, পাঁচ বছরে ধরে এই সম্পর্ক থেকে বেরিয়ে আসার জন্য বাবা-মা তার উপর অনেক নির্যাতন চালাতো। দেবাদৃতা জানান, 'প্রতি রাতেই বাবা মদ্যপ অবস্থায় ফিরে আমাকে মারধর করত। ১৮ বছর বয়স না হওয়ার কারণে বাড়ি ছেড়ে যেতে পারছিলাম না। গত দুই মাস আগে তার ১৮ বছর পূর্ণ হয়েছে। ২৯ তারিখ রাতে আমাকে মারধর করে বাড়ির বাইরে বের করে দেয় বাবা-মা। তার পরই বুবাইকে বিষয়টি জানাই। পরের দিন দু’জনে পালিয়ে বিয়ে করি।
